Speaker: Takkara Brunson, Assistant Professor, Department of History and Geography, Morgan State University

Takkara Brunson is Assistant Professor at Morgan State University. Her research interests include race, gender, and nation formation in Latin America and the African Diaspora; 19th and 20th-century Cuba; history of visual and material culture. Dr. Brunson received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. from Spelman College.
