Graduate Student Associates

Graduate Student Associate Information

The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies invites applications from Harvard students for positions as DRCLAS Graduate Student Associates for the academic year 2017-2018. These positions are designed to facilitate and supplement a student’s independent research toward the Ph.D. or advanced professional degree on topics related to Latin America.

The Center’s Graduate Student Associate Program will provide access to a photocopier, scanner, fax machine, postage allowance, and business cards.  Associates may also be eligible for shared office space at 1730 Cambridge Street. Graduate Student Associates are encouraged to participate in DRCLAS conferences, workshops, and seminars. One of the Center’s objectives in forming this program is to create an opportunity for Harvard graduate students to share their work with a broader audience, as well as with each other working in different disciplines.

Graduate students from all Harvard academic departments and professional schools may apply. Applicants from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences who have completed their General Examinations and begun research on their dissertation by the application deadline are given preference, although the review committee will consider all applicants who submit a compelling application.  Applicants from the professional schools should be working on a significant research project related to Latin America.
