Buscan Mejorar La Calidad Educativa En Zonas Terremoteadas

Incorporar el ámbito de la educación a un proyecto global de apoyo  a la reconstrucción en tres zonas fuertemente afectadas por el terremoto del 2010. Éste es el propósito de un trabajo conjunto que están llevando a cabo la oficina regional en Chile de Harvard University con su proyecto Recupera Chile y Fundación Educacional Oportunidad en las localidades de Cobquecura, Perales y Dichato, en la VIII región.

Con recursos de Harvard, el Instituto Nacional rescata material bibliográfico

El Instituto de Historia de la UC, con fondos de la universidad estadounidense, trabaja con el Archivo Patrimonial, mientras que un ex alumno y un bibliotecario lo hacen con los libros.

Documentos y cartas que relatan segmentos de la vida de Chile independiente y libros impresos desde el siglo XV forman parte de la biblioteca del Instituto Nacional, que al igual que el colegio, está cumpliendo 200 años.
