Educación para Compartir

Educación para Compartir is an international organization with 13 years of experience working with more than 1 million people in seven countries across the Americas (United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Panama, and Argentina). Their mission is to form better global citizens by teaching civic education through the use of games and sports. 

Internship Descriptions

Project 1: Global Expansion

Conceptualize the roadmap for Educación para Compartir's transition from a local nonprofit to a global organization, as they are currently expanding to serve the needs of more communities around the world. 

Intern Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the current impact of existing branches of the organization

  • Create a roadmap for the transition from a local to a global organizational structure 

  • Design a model of the new organizational structure with specific responsibilities and characteristics

Intern Qualifications

  • Fluent Spanish

  • Previous work experience in nonprofit organizations preferred 

  • Experience with project management 

Project 2: Communications

Create and operate a digital marketing strategy to promote participation in the Mexico City International Marathon as philanthropy, to increase individual donations to the organization. The intern will also work on a communications campaign about Educación para Compartir's impact in various communities. 

Intern Responsibilities

  • Create, operate, and evaluate digital marketing and social media strategies 

  • Design, film, and edit videos about Educación para Compartir's impact 

Intern Qualifications

  • Fluent Spanish

  • Experience with digital media, communications, and marketing preferred

  • Experience with video filming and editing preferred

Project 3: Public Policy 

Educación para Compartir is attempting to integrate its methodology at the public policy level in order to tackle educational issues with top-down as well as bottom-up approaches. 

Intern Responsibilities 

  • Create a strategy for Educación para Compartir's public policy efforts

  • Draft policy proposals

Intern Qualifications

  • Fluent Spanish

  • Knowledge of public policy and education policy

  • Previous work experience in nonproft settings preferred

Project 4: Impact Evaluation

Interns will diagnose and propose adaptations to Educación para Compartir's impact evaluation methodologies, in order to better measure the results of their programs and initiatives.

Intern Responsibilities 

  • Analysis (pros and cons) of the current impact evaluation model

  • Write a proposal for a new impact evaluation model

  • Create a strategic plan for the implementation of the new model 

Intern Qualifications

  • Fluent Spanish

  • Experience with social programs evaluation

  • Experience with impact measurements and statistical tools
