Join us for an important discussion about xenophobia and activism along the Northern and Southern Mexican borders. To what extent has the Mexican state perpetuated xenophobic policies towards Central American and Haitian refugees? What roles does the Mexican state play along the northern border in conjunction with CBP? And, more importantly, what are groups doing about it? In this discussion, we'll hear from Krys Méndez Ramriez, a PhD student in Ethnic Studies at UC San Diego, and Paulina Olvera Cañez, founder and director of Espacio Migrante.
