Architect Mario Marchant will present his work for Eastern Island at the GSD Design Antropology class.
The course Design Anthropology looks at the relation between design and culture at the Bahamas. The main objective is to understand how tools from anthropology and design could converge in a methodology for designing in isolated contexts that preserves the uniqueness that characterizes islands. Mario Marchant have lead a research at the Universidad de Chile looking at the same problematic in Isla de Pascua, therefore, our students will benefit from hearing about his experience and the outcomes of his work.
