Síntesis is one of the emblematic ensembles of contemporary Cuban music, due to the richness, variety and conceptual structure of their sonic style. Sintesis music pioneered the fusion of Afro-Cuban musical traditions with contemporary jazz and rock in the late 1970s. They are among the most recognized and popular musical groups of the island. Sintesis' albums ANCESTROS I, II and III are part of the Cuban rock-fusion classics.

Síntesis will be sharing with the students their creative process to fuse and integrate Afro-Cuban musical traditions with various styles of music including Jazz, Funk, R&B, Rock and other music genres. This will be a unique opportunity for the students interested in music making and production to learn from one of Cuba's leading group working within this musical boundaries.
