Right wing populism is ascendant in much of Latin America.  Although Brazil is the most prominent case, signs of a right-wing populist revival are evident in countries as diverse as Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Peru, and Uruguay.  What drives right wing populist turn in Latin America, and what are the consequences for democracy?
