DRCLAS announces Clémence Jouët-Pastré Brazil Travel Fellowship

January 19, 2020

The Clémence Jouët-Pastré Brazil Travel Fellowship is intended to enable undergraduates or graduating seniors to pursue a transformational experience in Brazil. Inspired by the memory of Clémence Jouët-Pastré, who as Senior Preceptor in Romance Languages and Literatures opened the doors for hundreds of Harvard students to study and experience Brazil, the Fellowship award can be utilized to support research, language study, volunteer work and/or independent projects spanning any field or topic. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a deep understanding of Brazilian culture and who clearly articulate how the Fellowship will enable them to follow an academic, professional or personal calling.

Established by former students, colleagues and friends of Clémence Jouët-Pastré, the Fellowship will provide a stipend of up to $10,000 for Harvard College undergraduates or graduating seniors to spend 3-6 months in Brazil.
