Edwin Ortiz manages the Center's Visiting Scholars and Graduate Student Associates programs, as well as coordinating the faculty grants competition. Before coming to the Center, he was the Associate Director of Cambridge Community Television, where he oversaw the daily operations and ran programs in media literacy and television production. His bachelor’s degree is in International Relations from Tufts University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He has also studied at the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid where he focused on Spanish literature and economic history. Edwin has conducted research in Cuba at the National Film Institute and in 2002, was awarded a Fulbright grant to pursue research on Spain's relationship to Latin America through the film industry. He holds a master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a specialization in Higher Education.
