Helena Monteiro became the Executive Director of Harvard University's DRCLAS Brazil Office in January 2017. During the previous six years, Helena was Executive Director of WINGS, where she led the process of turning an informal volunteer operation into a fully fledged global network dedicated to supporting Philanthropy worldwide. With over 20 years of experience in development and the nonprofit sector, Ms. Monteiro has worked for the Canadian Public Health Association, the Pan American Health Organization, and the Organization of American States. In Brazil, she worked for the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and IDIS. Helena holds a Master's in Social Work from the University of Toronto and is a Senior Fellow at Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society at the City University of New York.
