Marcela V. Ramos J.
Marcela Ramos is the Program Manager for ARTS@DRCLAS; she is based in Santiago, Chile, and manages the program both in Cambridge, MA and in the region. She launched ARTS@DRCLAS in Cambridge a decade ago and its subsequent expansion to Latin America. In collaboration with Harvard faculty, students, and colleagues, she designs, executes, and develops art initiatives to foster the scope of Latin American visual and performing arts at Harvard University and facilitates Harvard’s presence in the arts overseas.
Marcela has worked at DRCLAS since 2007, starting at the Cambridge office as the Coordinator and Registrar of the Collection for the Art Forum program. After relocating in 2011, Marcela is now working out of the Center's Regional Office in Santiago de Chile. Previously, she worked as Family Program Assistant and Tour Guide at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in Boston, where she also completed a one-year internship in the registrar’s office. While originally in Chile, she practiced architecture for 5 years in a design firm that she co-founded and taught Design Studios in several universities. Marcela holds a Master’s degree (MLA) in Museum Studies from the Harvard Extension School, a BA and Professional Degree in Architecture from the Universidad Central de Chile, and is a candidate for a BA in Philosophy from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
