Ph.D. Candidate in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology
Patrick Gorring is a sixth year PhD candidate in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. His undergraduate degree was from Cornell University in Human Biology Health and Society with a minor in Entomology and included research on effects of sociality in spiders.
Beetles are the largest group of organisms on Earth with over 380,000 species, and his work at Harvard explores how different plants eaten by beetles have influenced this diversity. He has traveled around the world for his research, including trips to Ecuador and Mexico.
