Paul Moorcroft is an ecologist who investigates the impacts of climate and land-use change on terrestrial plant communities and ecosystems, and how climate and land-use driven changes in the properties of terrestrial ecosystems can feedback and affect regional and global climate. He examines these issues in a number of regions including the tropical forests of the Amazon and the temperate forests of the eastern United States.
