Ranging from weekly events to yearly conferences, programming at DRCLAS explores Latin America’s rich histories, cultures and societies, drawing in extraordinary students, educators, and professionals from around the world.

Tuesday Seminar Series

The Tuesday Seminar Series brings together Harvard faculty and graduate students, visiting scholars, and scholars from institutions around the world to present their research and discuss the current state of Latin America. Relevant topics this semester include the impacts of COVID-19 in Latin America, the environment, racial relations, and democracy and political elections in the region.

This series is presented in collaboration with the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs

Arts & Humanities Workshop Series

Chaired and moderated by Mariano Siskind, Professor, Romance Languages & Literatures, the series fosters scholarly discussions centered on the work of leading academics in the fields of the Arts and  Humanities.
