Tiago Genoveze joined the David Rockefeller Center´s Brazil Office in April 2017 and transferred to the Cambridge office in May 2019. As Program Manager, Tiago is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the Brazil Studies Program. These involve a myriad of activities that range from engaging with professors and students from across the University’s Schools and planning, publicizing and executing events at Harvard on topics related to Brazil. Prior to joining DRCLAS, Tiago facilitated the learning experiences of foreign students researching health, cities and social entrepreneurship in São Paulo. In 2014, Tiago published Miradas de Solentiname: fotografías y reflexiones, a photography book featuring images taken by children and teenagers from Solentiname, Nicaragua, which includes a prologue by Ernesto Cardenal. The pictures included in the book were taken over a year’s worth of photography workshops that Tiago coordinated as a volunteer in 2010. Tiago also has experience teaching English to children and adults using affective learning strategies; organizing literary discussion groups for non-native English speakers; coordinating rap translation workshops; and translating contemporary Brazilian literature to English. Tiago holds a BA in English from Boston University and a Certificate in Literary Translation from Casa Guilherme de Almeida.
