Javier Rodriguez and Moira Castellano will give a masterclass on Argentine Tango to current Harvard students. This event event will be followed by a live performance on October 15 (Lehman Hall, Harvard Yard, Cambridge, MA). The masterclass is open to all. Javier Rodriguez is the most celebrated tango dancer of his generation. He has performed at festivals and tango events around the world, including at Harvard in 2019. Partnering with Moira Castellano, he performs improvised tango salon and is much admired for his musicality, poise, grace, and virtuosity.

Moira Castellano has participated in festivals in the US, Asia and Europe. She co-created and for five years co-directed the Misterio Tango Festival, which takes place in Buenos Aires every year in February, with more than 50 artists on stage and giving classes. At present, she is a guest artist at some of the most important national and international tango festivals with her partner Javier Rodríguez. Their experience together and quality of their dancing and teaching make them one the most renowned couples in the world today.

Thomas Patrick Wisniewski, Ph.D., is a Lecturer on Comparative Literature at Harvard University, where he has taught tango for more than a decade. In the FAS, he teaches literature, writing, translation, and a seminar titled "Argentine Tango: Poetry, Music, and the Dance."
