Join us on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 6:30 PM EST for a special screening of Jamaica y Tamarindo: Afro Tradition in the Heart of Mexico. The jamaica flower and tamarind are iconic ingredients in Mexico, but their history comes from a place much further away. In this short documentary, we'll meet five people in Mexico City as they explore the nation's African heritage, an identity that goes beyond the color of one's skin.

Presented by GSAS Latinx Student Association, along with DRCLAS, the Hutchins Center, W.E.B Du Bois Graduate Society and the GSAS Student Center
