Remote Summer Program
DRCLAS offers a semi-structured Remote Summer Program (RSP) for currently enrolled students. The RSP offers students the opportunity to engage with Latin America in a meaningful manner that will help shape professional skills, cultural knowledge, and language capabilities through an internship placement (based in Latin America), langauge sessions, and cultural activities.

Government Department Chair's Traveling Fund for Brazil
The Department of Government at Harvard University and the Brazil Studies Program & Brazil Office of Harvard’s David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies are partnering to offer an enriching remote internship experience with Brazilian host organizations to two highly qualified Government concentrators.

Summer Internship Programs (SIP)
DRCLAS is pleased to offer structured 8-week internship and immersion programs in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. Since 2005, more than two thousand Harvard students have participated in DRCLAS programs in Latin America. Continuing Harvard students in good standing - from all schools and concentrations - are eligible to apply. Language requirements vary.

Archaeological Field School in the Amazon Forest
A limited number of students (at the graduate or undergraduate level) are invited to apply to participate as interns in fieldwork in Teotônio, located in what was previously a heavily forested area of northern Brazil. Interns will work in the field and lab alongside the archaeologists, specialists, Brazilian students, and community members and will be given the opportunity to learn a variety of analytical techniques commonly employed in archaeological investigations.

Harvard Summer School Study Abroad
Spend a summer in Santiago, Chile learning about public health and Latin American culture while sharpening your Spanish language skills. This eight-week program gives you the unique opportunity to combine Spanish language coursework, Latin American cultural immersion, and engagement with the fields of medicine and public health through study and service.

International Summer Undergraduate Research in Global Health (I-SURGH) internships offer students the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge global health research in an international setting. Throughout the summer, students work with a Harvard faculty member or affiliate on their research projects and have a local mentor who supervises their daily work.
